This Girl Can… Play is a £22,000 female football participation programme commissioned by London Sport as part of their Satellite Clubs project from Sport England. The project has been running through the 2020-21 season but was recently extended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

 

The programme brings together 10 clubs who have individually set up 12 brand-new weekly sessions that are encouraging more than 250 inactive young women to be active through football.

 

Given the success of our previous commission projects like “Just Play” and “Football Fits”, we are delighted to be working with London Sport to help manage the delivery of football to 100s of women who often lack equal access to opportunities in playing football.
